Below is a sample price that includes the kimono, obi, all necessary accessories, dressing, and simple hair styling.

Pure silk Komon Plan … ¥50,000 and up
Pure silk Houmongi Plan … ¥70,000 and up
Premium Kimono Plan … ¥120,000 and up
[komon] A casual kimono with small repeating patterns. Great for walking around town or everyday outings.
[Houmongi] A more formal kimono with elegant designs across the seams. Suitable for special events, ceremonies, or parties.
1. Reservation Request (Form or Phone)
Please contact us through our [Rental inquiry form 🔗] or by phone to let us know your preferred date for the Visit Rental Plan, number of guests, and whether you would like a kimono coordination and/or hair setting.
After checking availability, our staff will get back to you to confirm your reservation.
In addition to the sample outfits shown on this website, we can suggest styles based on your preferences or the occasion. Feel free to share your ideal look—we’re happy to assist.

2. Visit SHOSA’s “Gallery YUIITUMUNI” (Kita-ku, Kyoto)
Please arrive at “Gallery YUIITUMUNI” (Kita-ku, Kyoto), located a 5-minute walk north from Kitaōji Station on the Karasuma Subway Line, at your reserved time.
● At reception, simply give your name and mention your kimono rental reservation.
You’ll be asked to fill out a rental form, and we will safely store your belongings during your outing.
※ Please bring a valid photo ID for identity verification.
The general schedule for the day will be:
- – Kimono selection: approx. 30 minutes
- – Hair styling (if requested): approx. 30 minutes
- – Kimono dressing: approx. 30 minutes
In total, please allow about 2 hours from arrival to departure. We recommend booking with enough time flexibility.
3. Kimono Coordination
We offer a wide selection of kimono—from casual to formal—to suit various occasions.
You can either choose from SHOSA’s curated seasonal and occasion-based recommendations, or select your own favorites (Estimated time: approx. 30 minutes).
Feel free to mix and match obi belts and accessories. Enjoy the one-of-a-kind encounter with colors, patterns, and textures.
Simple try-ons are available so you can make your selection with confidence. Our staff will be happy to assist you with care.
While in the gallery, you’re welcome to enjoy traditional sweets and take commemorative photos with your own smartphone or camera.
4. Dressing & Hair Styling
Our experienced kimono dressers will assist each guest with care and precision.
(Estimated time: approximately 30 minutes)
※ The rental fee includes both kimono dressing and basic hair styling.
Please note that the order of dressing and hair styling may vary depending on the flow of the day.
5. Enjoy Your Outing
Once you’re dressed and ready, step out into the streets of Kyoto.
Even familiar scenery will feel new and special when seen through the elegance of kimono.
Enjoy your day in your own unique way.
About luggage storage
We can hold your belongings only if you return to Gallery YUIITUMUNI by 5:00 PM on the same day.
*Please note that we do not provide overnight storage for next-day returns.
6. Return Instructions
You can choose from the following return methods:
Next-Day In-Person Return / Hotel Return / Courier Return
The rental fee includes cleaning, so you may return the kimono as is.
However, additional charges may apply in case of significant stains or damage.

Please bring the kimono back to Gallery YUIITUMUNI by 5:00 PM the next day.
– Hotel Return
Return the kimono to the front desk of your hotel by the next day.
Any luggage you leave with us will be delivered to your accommodation on the day of rental.
Available only for hotels located in Kyoto City (excluding Ohara, Kibune, Kurama, and Takao).
Please keep all valuables with you.
- – Courier Return
Return by courier service is also available.
We will provide a Yamato Transport return slip.
Please complete the return process by 2:00 PM on the day after use.
⚠️ Important Notes
If the return is delayed, a late fee of 20% of the rental cost per day will be charged.
If the return is delayed for 7 days or more, we will consider the item purchased and charge the difference between the sales price and the rental fee.
If you foresee a delay, please be sure to contact us in advance.
